Helton Creek Trip 1/31/2009

Not near as cold however, the ice was still an issue. Seen several Trout today but only One Rainbow decided to visit the hook. I later stopped by the Church of the Frescoes which was neat!

Sad news..
It is evident that the poachers have returned to Stone Mountain. Last week over fourty fish were seen in the larger pools. Today, not one was found. I spoke to three other fishermen on the stream today, neither one seen anything and agreed the problem has returned. Lets hope they get caught or move on, very sad to see this.

Stone Mountain Trip 1/25/2009

While shopping in the Bass pro shop last week, I found a beautiful yellow lab wondering about. His name is RipTide.

Visited stone mountain and middle fork creek today. Very cold and the fishing was good. The trout liked a crayfish streamer and an olive midge today. The new 4wt line threw nice!

visted helton creek today. A lot of ice and snow .....fishing very slow.

Hitting on nymphs today. Actually many were hitting top water, being very cold it was surprising to see.

Visited stone mtn today and caught three nice rainbows.
