Took the day off? Not necessarily.. Working on a project for a friend so until its completed I decided to post a few pics of our trip today. Took Leasa out for a nice ride on the bike today and enjoyed this awesome Carolina weather we are having. I kept a close eye on some waters while above the 3,000 ft level because I will be heading back up in a few days (Hint). Had a great time with a great gal! Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I did taking them and riding around the country side.... cheers, John.

Lazy Days & Parkways

Sunday we decided just to ride some of the parkway and enjoy this awesome weather. Temps in the upper 60's for the most part and nothing to do? You guessed it, hit the mountains, scout some water, eat a good meal and just kick back. Took a few shots as usual, thought you may enjoy... Cheers, John.

Seven Bridges Road

My Blog on simple daily happenings and unexpected events on the stream that are worth a snap shot and a comment.

I enjoy Fly Fishing the Wild Trout Waters of Western North Carolina, being Outdoors and simple Photography. I found that some of the best opportunities for taking a picture happens when you least expect it and always when your not ready with a more formal camera.

In this blog, the photography is taken with either my Kodak M1033 HD , Olympus 550WP Pocket Cameras or my Droid Smart Phone from Motorola. At Times when I take a break from the weather or hours of wading the streams, I may use my Nikon P100 that will allow me to take a slightly better picture.

My fishing gear is mostly Abel, Simms, Orvis, Fishpond, Sage and Winston. I enjoy tying my own flies however, The Fly Stop has an awsome collection of top quality flies that I often order from.

Locally, I keep myself outfitted from Casters Fly Shop (Orvis) in Hickory North Carolina and Wilson Creek Outfitters (Simms/Fishpond) in Morganton NC. Both Dave (Casters) and Walt (WCO) are great to deal with I highly recommend visiting their sites and stores.
