Today was a day to go home. Home to familiar waters where I could relax, enjoy the experience and take a few pictures. Decided to take the old truck, she performed excellent. Caught a small handful by mid day then decided to peel off the waders and grab the camera for a while. I missed having my son and Leasa along today, they had somethings to take care of so a solo day it was. Like the truck, I am starting to feel my age, knees ached and I seem a bit slower navigating the rocks and stream. I guess at our age, we are classics now..lol But with age comes wisdom, I seen the fish before they seen me today. Foliage is leaving us however, there were a few colors left to enjoy. Thanks for taking a moment to enjoy the day with me... Cheers JD
Great post and pics. Its all was nice to relax and fish your home waters, For me this means remembering how they used to look years ago.

Great photos as always! And with age comes wisdom. I hope so!
ReplyDeleteI love that knobby tree...and your truck! That truck looks like she's a nice Sunday driver moseying along at her own pace. That's my kinda truck!

ReplyDeleteI really hope you are right on that age thing...because if you aren't...well, then it just sucks! Haha. Great photography...really enjoyed it.

When I want a day of easy, no fuss, fishing in a beautiful location, the Wilson Creek watershed it is. Hiked it for years before picking up a fly rod. Know the spots you highlight well and have spent more than a night or two in MOrtimer myself. THANKS for bringing me back home.
