Going Home

Today was a day to go home. Home to familiar waters where I could relax, enjoy the experience and take a few pictures. Decided to take the old truck, she performed excellent. Caught a small handful by mid day then decided to peel off the waders and grab the camera for a while. I missed having my son and Leasa along today, they had somethings to take care of so a solo day it was. Like the truck, I am starting to feel my age, knees ached and I seem a bit slower navigating the rocks and stream. I guess at our age, we are classics now..lol But with age comes wisdom, I seen the fish before they seen me today. Foliage is leaving us however, there were a few colors left to enjoy. Thanks for taking a moment to enjoy the day with me... Cheers JD

  7. When I want a day of easy, no fuss, fishing in a beautiful location, the Wilson Creek watershed it is. Hiked it for years before picking up a fly rod. Know the spots you highlight well and have spent more than a night or two in MOrtimer myself. THANKS for bringing me back home.
